American culture is just like the culture of any other country where people collectively participate in a set way. Culture draws similarities among people. For instance, they celebrate the same festivals in the same fashion, and people also follow traditions similarly.
America was under the severe influence of British culture four centuries ago. That lasted for nearly two centuries. However, a lot of people started immigrating to the United States and brought in their cultural values too. Culture is nothing but how people live their lives on an everyday basis and the kind of decorum they maintain in running their lives. Culture influences our daily lives in many ways, in the way we talk, dress and also how we work or conduct business.
However, no matter which country a person belongs to, everyone blends into the popular American culture when they walk outside their doors. In America, the modern culture gives everyone the right to their own view points. Everyone's opinion matters and is voiced with equal strength. The disparities of race and color are reducing, and nobody can prove it better than by electing a Black president. This shows that America is moving closer to their popular American dream where everyone enjoys equal rights.
Americans compete in all aspects of life and give each other equal opportunity to grow. This kind of behavior is seen in politics also, and nobody is undermined based on caste, creed, religion or color. In a nut shell, the American culture can be called as a very broad minded culture.
